Jardin botanique du Parc de la Tête d’Or is a government funded public park in Lyon. Not only does it contain the largest botanical garden in France, it also has a zoo! We saw hundreds of varieties of plants and flowers. My favorites were the rose garden and the endless patches of scrubs. Surprisingly, my allergies didn’t go crazy. It took us all day to explore the entire park. Admission was free. The only thing we paid for was a fig crepe from the snack stand. Before we left, we sat by the lake and listened to classical music playing from speakers. It was perfect!
